Dreams from God I have had four dreams from God in my life. These are the Dreams: I was in a Baptist Church. I was trying to get a drink of water. However, each container of water that I was given had a hole in the bottom of the container, and each time I tried to take a drink, the water would poor out of the bottom and I could get nothing to drink. I took increasingly larger and larger glasses and containers of water in order to get a drink but each one had a hole in the bottom, until finally I was given a big canvass bag, full of water, but as I tried to take a drink, this also proved to have a large hole in the bottom out of which ran the water and splashed on some of the members. It is commonly known that often God speaks to us in our dreams: "And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim or by prophets." The Old and New Testament have numerous examples of dreams which God sends, although certainly one has to suspicious also of dreams and test them with the Word of God. Therefore, I tested this dream with the Word, and I came to the following interpretation of this Dream. Since in Scripture water is usually a reference to the teaching of the Gospel: (i.e. "He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, 'Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38). And there are many passages referring to water as the message of Grace throughout the Bible. However, the "Water," as it were, still needs a container or method of transport. Doctrine, Discipline, Law and the Cross of Christ are the elements which constitute the Cup, (as Christ said, "I have a Cup to drink of, the Cross) or container by which this Water is brought to us. Without these elements of the Cup, the Cup is faulty and we cannot truly satisfy ourselves with the Water, since it always dribbles out the bottom. We only get a "splash" of the Word as it were and this is why in my dream some of the members of the church were splashed by the water, but did not drink of it. When I reflected on this interpretation of the dream that I had had, it brought to mind an experience that I have often felt in Baptist and other churches: that I came away without my Spiritual quench being satisfied, because there was something missing. This "something" is what I have stated above, the lack of adherence to the teaching of the Law of the Bible, which also constitutes the fear of God, Doctrine, Discipline, Ten Commandments and the Cross of Christ. And this is what I believe to be the True interpretation of this dream, and it has encouraged me in pursuing my web site, and explaining much more fully the importance of these things for Christianity in our day and age, when only Gospel tends to predominate and the Law has been neglected. It is Law which makes us Truly thirsty for the Gospel, and it is the Container by which Grace is brought to us, and that Container must be sound and without any holes. Ross M. Bagne The second dream I had was as follows: During a time when I was in a debate with Pastor Bruce Hanneman of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Cheyenne Wyoming concerning the Election Doctrine and I was struggling to make confident in my own mind that I was on the right track God sent me the following dream: In my dream I was standing with several other people on a dais, and I and everyone else was dressed in white robes. And on this dais was a lower platform. And I asked the person next to me, "Why are these people on a lower platform?" And he said to me: "Because, they denied the Truth of the Election. They did not have enough faith to believe in it." Then, multitudes of people started filing in, all in white robes.
My third dream had to do with a certain person, and my attempt to reconcile with him after a very bitter split between us, filled with hatred from him, and animosity. In this dream, this person was living in Laramie Wyoming, a city about 50 miles from Cheyenne. I traveled there to visit him. He was working at night in some sort of barn or warehouse. The night I came to visit him was extraordinarily beautiful. With a great beautiful Full Moon in the sky. There were wisps of clouds moving through the sky. Suddenly, there appeared in the sky, a great big beautiful, sphere, very similar to the Moon. And it began to descend from the sky until it reached the ground, and it went into the barn where my brother was working. And as soon as it reached him, this Great Beautiful Sphere turned into a chicken and walked away. Here is how I interpret this dream: I have offered this person a reconciliation of our differences. The Sphere in the sky represents God's Gift of Reconciliation. It comes down to this person. He does not accept it and instead of the Beautiful Sphere which came to him from God, it becomes an animal, a chicken, and walks away. This is how I interpret this dream. I will continue to record my dreams from God on this site.
One Dream I had from God was as follows: In my Dream I was having a very intense Theological debate with Satan and really I can't remember what it was about.. Satan at this time was dressed up in the Red Robes of a Roman Catholic Cardinal. At this time, he was about 40 years old and slightly balding. And after this debate, suddenly I woke up and felt a very intense evil presence in my room. Knowing, that the way to FIGHT Satan is with the Word: I spoke to this Evil Presence in the room: "The Word Became Flesh." These are words truly that Satan cannot stand. So then Satan said to me: "What word?" These words sounded as clearly as a bell in room, just as if there was someone in the room who spoke them. And I said to Satan: "The Word of God you Idiot!!" Then suddenly Satan immediately disappeared. This was my Dream.
Another one that verges on a Dream from God, but was really a spiritual visitation from an evil spirit was as follows. I was sleeping soundly one night and suddenly I awoke. At the foot of my bed stood a very old man with a very wrinkled face, about four feet tall. He had white hair and a very long white flowing beard. He was dressed in a white robe that was very badly tattered and torn. My feet exposed at the foot of the bed. Suddenly, he punched my foot at ball joint right beneath my right big toe. When I woke up in the morning I could hardly stand on it and it took about three weeks to totally heal. That is how I know that this visitation was real. I told this story to my Sunday School class.
